CWL Adoption Society is designated by the Department of Social Development as a Child Protection Organization. This means that we work with different hospitals and other child protection institutions to find temporary placement for children who are either abandoned or consented for adoption by their biological parents. We are guided by the Children's Act 38 Of 2005 in placing these children in temporary safe care placements pending further investigations.
We work with various registered Child and Youth Care Centres within the greater Johannesburg area to place babies in temporary safe care whilst we try and find the best possible permanent care option for them. In some cases, children are reunified with their families whilst in most instances we find families for them through adoption.
